Baleba’s debut test: Man Utd face Tottenham at Old Trafford

Manchester United’s £70m summer signing Carlos Baleba is expected to make his debut in the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. The 20‑year‑old forward will have the opportunity to prove himself on the club’s biggest stage.

United’s attack has struggled for consistency this season, and the arrival of Baleba was seen as a key move to add pace and creativity up front. The club’s coaching staff have been keen to integrate him into the first team, and a home fixture against Tottenham offers a high‑profile platform for his introduction.

Baleba, who previously played for Lille in France, has been praised for his work rate and ability to link play. His move to Manchester United was a record signing for the club’s academy graduates, signalling a long‑term investment in his development.

In the match itself, United will look to balance defensive solidity with attacking flair, while Tottenham will aim to exploit any gaps in the back line. Baleba’s role will likely involve quick runs behind the defense and providing service to the central forwards.

Should Baleba perform well, the next step will be a series of challenging fixtures against top Premier League sides. The club’s management will monitor his progress closely to determine when he can become a regular starter.
